Optium Releasing has announced that supernatural chiller The Last Exorcism will be released in the UK on September 3.
Produced by Eli Roth (Cabin Fever, Grindhouse, Hostel), the film will also be screened at the closing night gala of FrightFest on August 30.

The Last Exorcism is directed by German newcomer Daniel Stamm and stars Patrick Fabian and Ashley Bell.
Also in the cast is Caleb Landry Jones, who was recently rumoured to be under consideration for the role of Sean Cassidy aka Banshee in X-Men: First Class. (He's the one holding a blood-covered towel to his face in the images below)
After a career spent helping the devout through prayer and trickery, Reverend Cotton Marcus (Fabian) invites a film crew to document his final fraudulent days as an exorcist.
Soon his faith is truly tested when a desperate plea from the father of a possessed girl (Bell) brings him face to face with evil itself.
The running time and certificate are to be confirmed.
